European Researchers’ Night 2018

For seven years in a row, on Friday 28th September 2018, in la Rambla of Almería from 17hs until 22hs, you cannot miss the human side of research through a direct contact and conversations with experts from different fields. Experiments, workshops, demonstrations, experiencies, routes, plays, monologues… Everything is valid to bring research closer to citizens in a rigorous but always fun way, with the aim of getting to know their work, the benefits it brings to society and the impact that has on our every day life. Everything will be followed by the “micromeetings”, in which participants will express their doubts and questions about the project they have just got to know.

The CEMyRI, following the theme of the current ReCULM Project: A VET course for Cultural Mediators to address the refugee crisis’ skills needs, subsidized by the Erasmus + Strategic Partnership program and led by the National Center for Social Research of the University of Athens (Ethniko Kentro Koinonikon Erevnon), will present various activities to reflect on the importance of knowing the figure of the Cultural Mediator and mediation as a conflict resolution strategy, especially those of a cultural nature.
