“PARALELO 36 (CIME-AM)” project is led by the University of Almeria, through the Centre for Migration Studies and Intercultural Relations (CEMyRI). The project Training and Strategies for the social intervention work and preparation for the better employment in the two shores (Andalusia – North of Morocco), is part of the Operative Cross-border Cooperation Programme Spain – External borders (in Spanish POCTEFEX) and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
This project is a direct one because it intends to answer specific needs of the programme application areas. The main topic defined by the European Commission is the 71: “Ways of integration and reintegration in the labour world of disadvantaged people”.
However, other topics are also highlighted: the number 9 “Other actions to promote investigation, innovation and entrepreneur spirit”, 13 “Services and applications for the citizens (electronic services in social public administrations, training, inclusion, etc.)”, 57 “Other grants to better touristic services”, 58 “Protection and conservation of the cultural heritage”, 60 “Other grants to better cultural services” and 86 “Evaluation and studies; information and communication”.
PARALELO 36 (CIME-AM) has a direct impact on the Cooperation Area of the Strait of Gibraltar.
And it takes part in the development of the Operative Objective 3: Noticing the patrimonial value, promoting the cultural discussion and the cooperation in the education of young people and the immigrants’ integration.
